Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at 12:26PM Google is resisting demands from the US Justice Department to hand over user data, which the authorities claim it needs for its ongoing investigation into online porn. The Justice Department has issued Google with a subpoena which demands it must comply with the request; AOL, Microsoft, and Yahoo have all handed over the data.

It’s an insightful article that questions the British publics apathetic acquiescence of institutional/corporate surveillance of individuals.
