The irregular photo of the day

Simple view - Spisz region, originally uploaded by Jarek Majcher.

I understand this region is in Slovakia and Poland. Maybe one of my European based readers can help?

It's the Polish side of the High Tatra Mountains.

I think I've driven on that exact road. The Polish and the Slovak sides of the Tatras are both beautiful but completely different. On the Polish side the mountains always appear to be over the brow of a hill. Also, the houses tend to be multi-storey (like up to five floors) in Poland whereas in Slovakia most cottages are 2 storey with the top floor being like an attic. PS - Are you going to respond to my question over at Mars Hill?

Yes.

I have had a busy (and ill) few days, but I plan to respond.

Sorry to hear about that. Get better soon.
