I am with MrZhisou in this. It is too early in the American history for Obama to win a Presidential. Perhaps in 8 years things will have changed and the time will also be more propitious.

No I don't think he will win on balance. But underestimate the media's love affair with Obama at your peril. Hilary is divisive, Warner is a maybe runner, and Bayh has pulled out (because, we are informed, of http://tygerland.net/wp-admin/post.php?action=editcomment&comment=50406" rel="nofollow">Obama's "X-factor"). There is Edwards, Gore (prob won't run), Biden (who has baggage), Kerry (has serious baggage), and Richardson (who I think may be an outsider).

Against this line up, and all their complications, Obama looks good.

Nah the big media in the States is more liberal - ABC, NBC, CBS. Fox is big on cable but not as big as the behemoths. Also Murdoch's newspaper portfolio is less impressive in the States. I'm not sure Murdoch would go loco for either of your 3 suggestions. Possibly McCain.

faced with obama he would go for guiliani, a tried and teseted touch on crimes, i have witnessed his outstanding turn around of the streets of new york, he is also a fiscal conservative, something america has lacked, and both reagan and clinton proved it is possible to enforce budget cuts....

guiliani may be socially liberal, as with mccain, but both are a dam site more "conservative" than bush could ever dream of....
