Bird Flu

This story is only really still breaking so I'm not going to be bogged down in too much speculation. Obviously having a background in the industry means I'm watching the news of the H5N1 outbreak closely, but let me just make one simple point: the media thirst for information drastically outstrips its availability.

Beware of the print media's proclivity to report on science stories with immense inaccuracy and ineptitude. And also beware the speculative 'experts.'
